- flood
- A flood is when someone sends several lines (say, 6 or more) to a channel within a short period of time, say, a couple of seconds. A sufficiently bad flood can cause people to get disconnected from IRC. Other types of flood, such as CTCP Flood and Nick Change Flood, are also possible.
